Exhibit highlights antique fans
Is the month of August too hot for your taste? The Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society has something special just for you.
“Fans,” a featured exhibit at the Historical Society Museum, runs through Sept. 4. This collection of antique lady’s fans once belonged to Kathryn Brison Ricketts. She began collecting them in the early 1900s.
They were recently donated to the Historical Society by her son John Ricketts and his wife Rita. Learn about the history of the area through the life of a woman who lived in the region for more than 60 years.
The museum is located at 15 E. Columbus St. in downtown Pickerington and is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
