Blockwatch Leadership and Community Training Seminar
The Great Western Blockwatch and Civic Association, in cooperation with the Columbus Division of Police, the Columbus City Attorney’s Office and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office will present a Blockwatch Leadership and Community Training Seminar on Oct. 13, from 6-8:30 p.m., at the United Way Building, 360 South Third St.
This workshop is intended to give participants the tools to develop and support an active blockwatch. Facilitators will be current blockwatch coordinators who will chronicle their experience in establishing and maintaining a blockwatch. Training will include protection against identity theft, Columbus police radio room operations, Columbus police liaisons and much more. This workshop is open to anyone interested in starting or learning more about blockwatches.
