Annual 'Picnic with the Pups' at CHA Animal Shelter
CHA Animal Shelter is gearing up for its annual "Picnic with the Pups" summer fundraiser.
The event will be held July 18 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at the CHA Animal Shelter, located at 3765 Corporate Drive in Northeast Columbus.
"Picnic with the Pups is our summer gathering for friends, families, and our course the pups," said Terri Montigny, development director with CHA Animal Shelter. "The day will be filled with many activities for our four legged friends and their families."
In addition to many venders, demos, and doggie games, this year's event will include free live music, raffles, silent auction, and microchip clinic for $25.
Volunteers will be on hand to provide information about the shelter and ways the public can support it. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from CHA, City BBQ and Above All Catering. A complete list of activities can be found on the event Web site www.PicnicWithThePups.com.
The live music portion of the evening will include No Regrets and The Neil House Band.
"Our bands are providing decades of favorites from the 60s, 70s and 80s." Montigny said. "There will be something for everyone; a good time will be had by all." Picnic with the Pups is also the last stop for the 2nd Annual Hogs for Dogs Poker Run.
