Eastmoor High School graduate Steve Theodor, shown here in his 27 Brogie Roadster sponsored by his Faslube Oil Change Centers, took on Don Graham of Willard, Ohio, in his Army sponsored Corvette at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. in Norwalk, Ohio on June 26-29. Theodor took the first round win with a starting line reaction time of .004 (only 4/1000th second away from perfect). Theodor also took the starting line advantage in the second round match up against Ray Connolly from Elyria, Ohio, but went 9.893 which was 7/1000ths quicker than the class allows, giving the win to Connolly.
