The Westland Youth Traveling Football Team has been named 2007 champions of the Carl J. Fulton Pony League. Lead by head coach Mario Siravo, defensive coordinator John Fluke, and assistant coaches Jason Grubbs, Scott Nicoles and Brian Campbell, the team earned the title Nov. 3 when they defeated the Riverbend Raiders 36-6. They brought the season to an end in Pittsburgh, where the team played their annual game against the Pittsburgh Moon Tigers, who they defeated 37-0.
