The Sons of Union Veterans CW and the Military Order of the Stars and Bars perform the presentation of colors and laying of the wreath at the 117th Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery Memorial on June 10. The annual event remembers Confederate and Union soldiers of Camp Chase.

Monty Chase, of the Hilltop Historical Society, introduces visitors to the descendents of the Kelly brothers, and Albert and Cordelia Longwell – the individuals being remembered at this year’s memorial.

The Ohio Civil War Brass Band performs the “Star Spangled Banner” as it was played during the Civil War.

Robert Black performs “Amazing Grace” on the Gaelic pipe.

Abraham Lincoln, portrayed by John Cooper of Baltimore, mingles with local residents. Cooper performs as Abraham Lincoln about 40 times a year. He will also be at the Civil War encampment this year at the Ohio State Fair.
